One pound (16oz) of medium roast, Arabica coffee, single origin.
Is it TAN-zuh-NI-a or tan-ZAN-ia? Truth is, it's both. The country of Tanzania was formed in 1964 by the union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar. The new country borrowed the "Tan" from one progenitor and the "Zan" from the other to form the country's new name, Tanzania, which formerly didn't exist in any language. So, you pick how you want to pronounce it. What we will do is expertly roast this coffee in hopes that you'll pick up the smooth, subtle ginger notes that also carry a wine-like flavor.
Brewing and Storage Instructions
1. Always begin with fresh cold water. Use filtered water if possible.
2. Measure coffee by weight if possible. Use 3/4 ounce of coffee by weight for each 12 fl oz of water (20g coffee per 350ml water). If no scale is available, use 1 level tablespoon of whole beans per 12 fl oz of water and adjust to taste.
3. Brew coffee according to instructions provided with your coffee maker.
Store unused beans in an airtight container away from heat and direct sunlight. We recommend that you do NOT store your coffee in the refrigerator or freezer. For maximum freshness, use beans within approximatley 10 days of opening the package.
